Senior IT Technician

Our client is a leading Managed Services Provider delivering enterprise-level IT support, cybersecurity, and cloud solutions to small and mid-sized businesses. We are searching for a Senior IT Technician who enjoys working across a variety of client environments, solving complex technical issues in a Managed Services Provider (MSP) setting. This role is responsible for proactive systems administration, infrastructure project work, and remote and on-site client support. The technician will serve as an escalation resource, help maintain stable and secure client environments, and contribute to continuous improvement across operations and service delivery. What You\'ll Do Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues across multiple client environments Support both Windows and Mac environments Administer and support Microsoft 365 Set up and support networks, firewalls, switches, and connectivity Diagnose and resolve server-related issues Act as an escalation point for more complex technical challenges Provide guidance to junior technicians helping elevate team performance and consistency Help define and improve processes, documentation, and service delivery as the organization grows Work directly with clients to provide clear updates, recommendations, and solutions Participate in onsite client visits as needed What You Bring Technical Skills Bachelor\'s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity or related degree preferred 5+ years\' experience supporting Windows and Mac environments Hands-on experience setting up and supporting networks (firewalls, switches, VPNs) Experience troubleshooting server and infrastructure issues Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 administration Prior experience working in an MSP environment strongly preferred Soft Skills Strong communication skills - ability to explain technical issues in a clear, client-friendly way Ability to work independently and problem solve without constant direction Comfortable interacting directly with clients and managing relationships Thrives in an environment with less structure and enjoys helping build processes Able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, high-growth environment Proactive, Process-Oriented mindset and look for ways to improve processes and service delivery Certifications Certifications such as CompTIA Network+, Security+ preferred Mobility Requirements Valid driver\'s license required Reliable personal vehicle and active auto insurance required Ability to travel to local client sites; mileage reimbursement is provided Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 50 pounds for transporting equipment What Success Looks Like In this role, you will resolve client issues in a professional and timely manner Clients feel confident and well-supported, with clear communication and proactive guidance Technical issues are resolved efficiently, with an eye toward preventing recurring problems You take ownership of client environments and continuously look for ways to improve performance, security, and reliability You are a trusted resource for both clients and internal team members Junior team members benefit from your experience, gaining confidence and technical growth You contribute to building better processes, documentation, and consistency as the team scales #J-18808-Ljbffr Connect4Talent
