Summary The Commercial Credit Analyst is responsible for evaluating the creditworthiness of commercial and industrial (C&I) and commercial real estate (CRE) borrowers. This includes analyzing financial statements, preparing credit approval memoranda, and supporting the credit decision process in alignment with Leader Bank’s policies and procedures. Responsibilities Analyze financial statements, tax returns, cash flows and projections of commercial borrowers. Prepare detailed Credit Approval Memoranda assessing repayment ability, collateral adequacy, creditworthiness, and loan structure with recommendation of approval. Conduct industry and market analysis to assess borrower risk. Collaborate with lending officers to gather borrower information and occasionally attend joint client calls. Ensure compliance with financial covenants and reporting requirements. Review appraisals, environmental reports, and commitment letters for consistency with approval terms. Maintain documentation and compliance with internal credit policies and regulatory standards. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field 1-5 years of experience in commercial credit, loan underwriting, or financial analysis. Proficiency in financial modeling and tools like MS Office software. Excellent analytical thinking and attention to detail. Effective written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively across departments.
