Job Responsibilities

• Perform thorough patient evaluations, which include in-depth physical exams and comprehensive assessments of medical histories
• Work alongside medical teams to assess and diagnose surgical conditions by reviewing imaging studies and lab reports
• Collaborate with surgeons in developing and administering patient-tailored surgical treatment protocols
• Offer critical intraoperative assistance, which encompasses preparing operating theaters, ensuring appropriate patient positioning, and adeptly passing surgical instruments
• Provide excellent pre- and post-operative management, inclusive of medication administration, wound treatment, discharge planning, and patient education

Qualifications

• Master's degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program
• Completion of clinical rotations with a surgical focus is highly preferred

Certifications

• Currently holds a valid and unrestricted PA-C certification
• BLS and ACLS certifications are required
• State licensure (or eligibility) as a Physician Assistant
