Design Drafter: Steel Tank Projects, AutoCAD Expert

We’re looking for a Design Drafter to join our engineering team in Louisville, Kentucky and help bring complex steel tank projects from concept to construction. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys detailed drafting work, collaborating with engineering teams, and seeing their drawings become real-world structures.WHAT YOU’LL DO:Prepare detailed fabrication and construction drawing packages for elevated and ground storage tanksCreate plan and elevation layouts for tank systems and foundationsDevelop project documentation including shipping lists and supporting documentationCoordinate with engineering and project teams throughout fabrication and construction phasesAssist with drafting for specific tank styles, components, accessories, and foundationsSupport continuous improvement of drafting standards and processesWHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:Associate degree in Architectural Drafting, Mechanical Drafting, or equivalent experienceProficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft ExcelAbility to read and interpret technical drawings, plans, and specificationsStrong attention to detail and organizational skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities and deadlinesStrong communication and teamwork skillsPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:Experience with:InventorAdvance SteelVBAAMEIndustrial, structural steel, or heavy civil drafting experienceConstruction or fabrication-related drafting backgroundWHY CALDWELL?Established industry leader with over 135 years of experienceLarge, complex projects across municipal and industrial marketsCollaborative engineering environmentOpportunity to work on structures that become landmarks in communities across the countryLong-term career growth and stabilityIf you enjoy turning engineering concepts into detailed construction-ready drawings and want to work on projects built to last generations, we’d love to hear from you. #J-18808-Ljbffr
