Materials HandlerThe primary responsibility of the Materials Handler is to perform all functions associated with the shipping department, including but not limited to:Loading trucks, live loads, and staged loadsAbility to operate a forklift – (Expert Level)Operation of site yard dogDirect ship responsibility including proper disposition of hold products, food safety hold products and released productsWMS, BOL responsibility / accountabilitySupport Warehouse Area Lead with all activities associated with shipping departmentPrincipal AccountabilitiesAccurately record all transactions on the WMS inventory systemCommunicate with line and logistics operators to ensure materials are replenished in a timely mannerManage FIFO program regarding materials managementCross training will be required with other Logistic Material Handler positions.This position and all site associates are responsible for quality and food safety.Mission Critical CompetenciesMust have excellent communication skillsMust have the ability to prioritize workloadMust have excellent organizational skillsKey Functional Skills/KnowledgeThe ability to lift 60 poundsForklift certifiedKnowledge of inventory computer systems WMSFood manufacturing experience and knowledge of food safetyKnowledge of Good Manufacturing PracticesPreferred SkillsFood manufacturing experience and knowledge of food safety.Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices.Forklift certified.Minimum QualificationsHigh School diploma or equivalent.2+ years of manufacturing experience.Ability to lift 60 pounds.Ability to quickly respond.Mechanical troubleshooting abilityComputer literate with an ability to enter, record, maintain and retrieve information in a computer-based data collection systemWhat can you expect from Mars?Work with diverse and talented Associates, all guided by the Five Principles.
