ICU Registered Nurse (RN)We are seeking an experienced ICU Registered Nurse to provide high-quality care in an Intensive Care Unit setting. This position requires a dedicated professional with a strong background in critical care and a commitment to improving patient outcomes.Shift InformationShift Type: NightsShift Length: 12 hours (7 PM - 7 AM)Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per weekWeekend Requirement: Every other weekendHoliday Requirements: Participation in holiday shifts following the internal rotationUnit InformationUnit Type: ICU (Intensive Care Unit)Number of Beds: 20Patient Ratios: 1:2, may require 1:1 care in critical situationsCommon Diagnoses: Neuro surgery, craniotomies, carotid procedures, ventriculostomies, ICP monitoring, open heart surgeries, post catheterizations, and various cardiac devicesEquipment: Cerner EMR, Phillips telemetry monitoring, various intravenous drips, and ventilatorsResponsibilitiesProvide comprehensive nursing care to critically ill patients in the ICU.Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions and responses to treatment.Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to implement and evaluate care plans.Administer medications and therapies as prescribed.Prepare for and assist in medical procedures and emergencies.Supervise nurse aides and delegate tasks appropriately.QualificationsMinimum of 2 years of ICU experience is required.ACLS, BLS Certification, and NIHSS certifications are mandatory.Experience with Cerner EMR is preferred.Experience with neuro or cardiac patients is a plus.Must be able to float to IMCU or Observation as needed.Training and SupportComprehensive orientation program consisting of 3 shifts.Support for skills validation and ongoing professional development.Candidates must be prepared for a fast-paced environment and working with critically ill patients. Experience in travel nursing is preferred. The position may include floating to step-down or observation units as necessary.
