Job Summary And Responsibilities As our Physical Therapist, you will help patients rebuild or maintain their physical wellbeing so they can function at their best level, reduce pain, and improve their quality of life. Every day you will perform initial evaluations, develop and update individualized plans of care, and provide a variety of direct treatments. You will be expected to consistently meet patient care productivity standards, collaborate with the interdisciplinary team and families, and promote a positive customer service environment. To be successful in this role, you must possess strong age‑appropriate competency skills, excellent communication abilities, and a collaborative, patient‑centered approach to care. Job Responsibilities Develop and update an appropriate plan of care in collaboration with the patient/family, tailored to the person’s age and lifestyle with measurable long‑ and short‑term goals and a defined discharge plan. Understand the role of physical therapy in the context of the patient’s age, total needs perspective and environment. Perform age‑appropriate competency skills in the area of practice and with respect to individual patient problems. Follow intervention protocols and alter the plan of care appropriately. Discharge the patient when goals have been met or medical necessity no longer warrants intervention. Establish provisions and/or make recommendations. Consistently meet the patient‑care productivity standard as established for the job classification. Work cooperatively with supervisors and peers to contribute to the overall productivity of the team. Utilize support personnel as appropriate and available. Actively support and participate in patient coverage efforts across all divisions within the department as necessary. Promote and support a positive and professional customer service environment when interacting with clients, guests and hospital personnel. Work collaboratively with all members of the interdisciplinary team, other departments, and disciplines to assure patients and customers’ needs are met in a timely manner. Encourage the active participation of the patient and/or family in goal setting and patient/family training/education. Provide positive and constructive feedback to enhance departmental operations. Complete all necessary documentation as outlined by departmental policy and documentation review, including patient‑care charting, charge entry, peer chart and peer reviews, and documentation on the daily schedule. Utilize available information‑management systems to support departmental and hospital goals. This includes utilizing hospital‑wide e‑mail, information announcements, policies, annual computer mandates, charge entry, and accessing patient‑care related information. Access and use information in accordance with hospital and information‑management guidelines. Job Requirements Degree in Physical Therapy; graduates eligible for licensure will be considered upon hire. Physical Therapist: Texas, upon hire. Basic Life Support (CPR) within 14 days of hire. Where You’ll Work The Woodlands Hospital is a primary and secondary care hospital serving North Harris and Montgomery counties. Clinical services include cardiovascular services, diagnostic imaging, women’s services (digital mammography and bone density studies), neurosciences, pediatric care (newborn and Level II nurseries), surgery, pathology and pulmonary services, and sleep disorders. Clinical affiliations include The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center’s Radiation Treatment Center and Texas Children’s Hospital. Pay Range $40.16–$59.74 per hour #J-18808-Ljbffr
