Patient Care Leader | Nursing Administration

Job Description The Patient Care Manager provides interdisciplinary leadership, clinical practice, and staff development to one or more defined areas of nursing services. The manager utilizes participative management concepts to plan, innovate, coordinate, direct, and evaluate patient services, ensuring delivery within the philosophy, objectives, policies, and procedures of the Division of Patient Services. The manager demonstrates fiscal responsibility in the allocation of available resources to promote efficient, effective, safe, and compassionate care. Shared decision-making is promoted by providing staff input into executive-level decisions and by keeping staff informed of executive-level activities. The manager demonstrates expertise in clinical practice guidelines, standards, best practices, evidence-based administration, fiscal management, healthcare evaluation and outcome measures, measurement of patient needs, nursing workload, performance improvement, service excellence, and patient safety systems. Estimated salary range for this position is $112,081.46 - $149,068.34 per year, depending on experience. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree (BSN preferred; if graduate of accredited BSN program, a master’s degree in nursing or a healthcare/management related field is preferred; a master’s in nursing is required if undergraduate degree is an ADN). Five or more years of clinical experience in the area of specialty and two years of leadership experience preferred. Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification. Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification. Registered Nurse (RN) registration. Certification in area of specialty or Nursing Administration within 2 years of signing, promotion, or hire. Membership in a professional nursing organization. Other certifications may apply based on area of specialty. ACLS, PALS, NRP required as per unit standard.
