Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Progressive Care Unit Duration: 14 Weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years in med-surg telemetry License: Compact or state license required Certifications: ACLS, BLS; chemo certification preferred Must-Have: - ACLS - BLS - EKG Exam - 2 years of med-surg telemetry experience - Oncology experience preferred Description: Seeking a Registered Nurse for a progressive care oncology unit. This position will require Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications. Experience in telemetry is a must, with a preference for candidates who have oncology experience. Chemo certification is preferred but not mandatory. The nurse will be expected to work some winter holidays. Rigorous compliance requirements including exams related to pharmacology, oncology competency, and progressive care skills are expected. Patient care will involve adults and geriatrics with daily census averaging 31. Candidates will float within the hospital or to nearby affiliate hospitals as needed. Must possess strong clinical skills, including interpretation and management of dysrhythmias. The position may require working 4 to 6 weekend shifts within a 6-week period.
