Job Title: House Manager & Family Assistant (with Meal Prep Support) Location: Weston, MA Employment Type: Full-time (30 guaranteed with room to grow up to 40+ hours/week); This is a W-2 position. Proposed Start Date: ASAP Compensation: $33–$38+/hour based on experience Benefits: PTO, Sick Leave, Health Stipend offered. Skills: Highly-organized, proactive, and detail-oriented. Strong time-management skills. Requirements: Can maintain a smoke-free environment Has reliable transportation to the workplace; comfortable driving large family car provided Up-to-date general vaccinations Ability to take initiative and manage multiple priorities with ease Previous experience with childcare, including managing routines, school pick-ups, and overall care is a plus About Our Family: Our family is seeking a highly reliable, proactive, and organized House Manager & Family Assistant to take charge of managing our busy household. Flexible & Adaptable: Comfortable with changing priorities and schedules Professional & Discreet: Respects boundaries, maintains professionalism at all times Child-Centered: Experience managing routines for school-age children Key Responsibilities: Household Management & Organization: Develop and maintain household organization systems (closets, storage, pantry, toys) Reset and tidy rooms daily; maintain overall neatness, ensure home is prepped for cleaning services Awareness of household schedules and calendars Conduct seasonal swaps (clothing, décor, etc.) Prepare for family events, holidays, and guest stays Prepare and coordinate donation drop-offs and pick-ups Support packing/unpacking for travel or seasonal transitions for family Supervise or coordinate with service providers/vendors (e.g., handymen, cleaners, landscapers) Load/unload dishwasher, wipe surfaces, vacuum high traffic areas Family Support & Child Assistance: Assist with daily school drop-offs and pickups, manage extracurricular activities (to/from) Provide assistance with homework and nightly routines Prep backpacks, clothing and snacks for school Inventory Management Track and restock pantry, fridge, toiletries, household supplies Create and manage running household supply lists Run errands: grocery shopping, returns, dry cleaning, gift shopping Handle package deliveries / pickup, mail sorting, and returns Meal Planning & Preparation Plan and prepare healthy meals and snacks for the family, including breakfast and dinners 2–3 times per week. Shop for groceries and meal-related items Clean kitchen post-prep and manage kitchen tidiness Laundry & Linen Care Wash, dry, fold, and organize family laundry (e.g., clothing, bedding, towels) Manage linens: rotate bedding, refresh towels, restock essentials Keep laundry areas tidy and well-stocked with supplies Handle special care for delicates Vehicle Management Schedule and oversee maintenance, oil changes, and inspections Ensure vehicles are fueled, cleaned, and organized Vendor & Property Oversight Schedule and supervise service providers (cleaners, contractors, landscapers) Research and coordinate repairs, maintenance, and quotes Oversee outdoor spaces and seasonal maintenance needs; patio maintenance Serve as primary contact for vendors Deep Cleaning & Special Projects Tackle occasional deep cleaning tasks (fridge/freezer, oven, baseboards) Maintain and refresh daily drop zones (entryways, mudroom, garage) Help with family transitions (e.g., moves) Manage seasonal property maintenance Administrative & Personal Assistant Support Assist with family travel logistics and scheduling Collaborate on managing family calendars and reminders, ensuring that key events, appointments, and activities are tracked and communicated effectively Assist with coordination of events (e.g., dinner or birthday parties), appointments and guest preparation How to Apply If you’re interested in becoming a part of our dynamic family, please send: A brief cover letter explaining why you’d be a great fit for our family.
