Primary & Secondary SEN School | Full-Time | Long-Term Start: ASAP Start Are you a patient, caring and committed SEN Teaching Assistant looking to start a new role as soon as possible where you can genuinely make a difference? We are working with a well-resourced and highly supportive SEN school in Brentwood that caters for both primary and secondary-aged pupils. They are looking to appoint a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their specialist provision as soon as possible. About the School The school supports pupils with a range of additional needs, including: Autism (ASC) ADHD Speech and Language needs Complex learning needs Students benefit from structured routines, tailored learning programmes and a nurturing, consistent environment that supports both learning and personal development. The Role Providing 1:1 and small group support across primary and secondary classes Supporting communication, emotional regulation and engagement in learning Following EHCP targets and individual support plans Assisting with personal care where required Working closely with teachers, SENCOs and external professionals Helping maintain a calm, structured and positive learning environment Encouraging independence, confidence and social development The Ideal Candidate Experience supporting children or young people with SEN, ASD, ADHD or complex needs Calm, patient and resilient approach Comfortable working across both primary and secondary age groups Confident supporting non-verbal or limited communication pupils Willing to support personal care where needed Strong team player with a proactive attitude Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one) Both experienced SEN Teaching Assistants and strong mainstream TAs looking to move into a specialist setting are encouraged to apply.
