Paramedic Instructor
UVM Health Network- Elizabeth Community Hospital
This position is located in Vermont at 40 IDX Drive in South Burlington The EMS Programs Instructor has primary responsibility for classroom/lab education of the Paramedic students, maintenance of accreditation status, recruitment and selection of students. EMS Programs Instructor must satisfy the following minimum qualifications:
- Current Practicing as a Paramedic.
- Current certifications in CPR, ACLS and PALS. (Instructor status is beneficial but not required).
- Compliant with all federal, state and local regulations, including certification and licensing requirements as required by the discipline.
- Must have a valid driver's license.
- Associates, Bachelors, or Masters Degrees preferred
- National Registry EMT/Paramedic Certification preferred.
- Additional instructor certifications preferred ie: Pre-Hospital Trauma Life Support (PHTLS), Advanced Medical Life Support (AMLS), Emergency Pediatric Care (EPC), Geriatric Emergencies for EMS (GEMS), EMS Safety, etc
- Minimum 2 years field experience as EMT/Paramedic with supervisory experience (preferred).
- Experience in a training or educational setting desirable.
