Technical Sales Specialist USA

Alsys is a Dutch family-run business. We build modular laboratory robots for sample preparation and integrated analysis, serving clients in the fertiliser, minerals, chemicals and oil sectors. Each system is designed around a specific chemical process, from titration to extraction, and our clients rely on us to fully understand exactly what happens in that process before we configure a robot. In the Americas, this customer base is growing faster than we can serve from the Netherlands alone, which is why we are looking for someone who is equally adept at chemistry and commercial discussions and can step into that role independently.Based in Houston, you will be the point of contact for technical customer enquiries across the Americas and will be responsible for meeting the revenue target for the region. You will work closely with our distribution partners, with whom you will jointly manage initial customer contact, and with Head Office in the Netherlands for all matters relating to engineering, lead times and configurations. You’ll spend around 25 per cent of your time travelling to visit customers and partners; the rest of the time, you’ll work from our office in Houston or from home. Actively acquire new customers within laboratory automation in the Americas Build and maintain your own sales pipeline, from initial contact to closed deal Negotiate prices and terms and close deals independently Help shape a sales strategy for the Americas market, including prioritising sectors and accounts Answer customers’ technical and chemical queries regarding sample preparation and analysis processes Meeting the revenue target for the Americas and actively following up on leads and opportunities Collaborating with distribution partners in the US, Canada and Latin America, including training and joint customer visits Liaising with Head Office in the Netherlands regarding engineering, lead times and configurations Translating customer‑specific chemical processes into a suitable robot configuration Supporting customers from initial enquiry through to Design Study and quotation Delivering technical demonstrations and presentations, both on‑site and remotely Representing Alsys at trade fairs and customer events in North and South America Maintaining customer and sales data in the CRM system Reporting market developments and competitive intelligence from the Americas to Head Office #J-18808-Ljbffr Alsys International
