SCHEDULE: 11:55pm - 8:00am Tuesday - Saturday (Overnights) or Sunday-Thursday 4pm-12pm (2nd shift)

Responsible for the diagnostic evaluation through Biopsychosocial assessments and disposition of adult and juvenile consumers seeking mental health services. Responds to the Behavioral Health Crisis line and provides crisis intervention services, as well as working closely with area hospitals to ensure proper placement for consumers in crisis. Position requires the ability to multi-task and handle potentially unpredictable situations.

Education and Experience : Bachelor degree in Behavioral Science or Psychology or related field, plus one-year clinical experience.

Knowledge : Accepting inbound calls centered about trauma and mental distress.

Physical Requirements :

• Ability to communicate orally and in writing.
• Ability to hear and see in emergency situations.
• Capable of reacting with sound judgement in a fast paced environment.
• Must be physically able to push, pull and carry a minimum of 25lbs.
• Must be able to pass NAPPI training and safely be able to physically handle potentially aggressive situations.

Special Working Conditions:

Exposure to consumers and and treatment program conditions which may include physical intervention and verbal abuse by consumers. Exposure to long and sometimes irregular hours, families and a wide range of community environment outside the facility.
