Clean Water Action is seeking interns for its summer 2024 internship program, focusing on environmental advocacy and policy. The internship offers hands‑on experience in politics, communications, and advocacy, with opportunities to travel across the United States and attend national conferences. We are committed to reflecting the diverse communities we work in and strongly encourage individuals from underrepresented groups, including POC, LGBTIQ folks, and others, to apply. Responsibilities Advocate for progressive causes and influence decision makers at the national, state, and local levels. Provide independent communication with people outside of mass media. Recruit members by collecting signatures and contact information. Raise funds to support research, lobbying and educational campaigns. Identify and activate passionate individuals to contribute through letter writing, attending meetings, volunteering and voter turnout initiatives. Qualifications Demonstrated strong communication skills. Commitment to diversity, equity, justice, and inclusion. Desire for non‑profit career development. Minimum commitment of 10 weeks, 18-40 hours per week. Located near a Clean Water Action office or willing to relocate; housing assistance not provided. Benefits Paid training and stipend.
