The achievements of our students in academics, fine arts, and athletics not only showcase their talents but also draws families to the New Ulm community.We are currently seeking custodial/cleaning substitutes for multiple buildings. The position involves participating in all building cleaning activities such as mopping, sweeping, or cleaning floors, vacuum and shampoo carpets; dusting cabinets, desks, and building surfaces; cleaning glass partitions and windows; scrubbing, stripping, waxing, and buffing floors; spot cleaning spills/stains on floors or surfaces; removing vandalism marks from building or equipment; cleaning, sanitizing, and polishing all washroom fixtures; filling dispensers, gathering and disposing of refuse. May conduct ground maintenance including landscaping, snow removal, painting, raking, or other similar tasks. Consult with Lead Custodian regarding unusual maintenance problems and make recommendations concerning the purchase of supplies, material, and equipment. Perform other comparable duties of a like or similar nature as assigned.Position requirements include the ability to work independently and as part of a team, follow directions with attention to detail, climb 20-30 feet, lift 50-60 pounds, and have the endurance to walk/stand for the majority of the shift. A high school diploma or GED is required. The position offers a starting salary of $17.96, based on experience.
