An Internal Medicine & Obesity Medicine Practice in Wylie, Texas is looking for a Medical Assistant to join their team. The ideal candidate is a proactive self-starter with excellent organizational, clinical, and customer service skills. We desire a candidate who is self-motivated, courteous, and dependable as well as possessing a high level of professionalism. The candidate must be able to be cross train to work front and back office.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Greets patients
• Answers phones
• Schedules appointments
• Checks in and out
• Verifies insurance
• Rooms patients and takes vitals and history
• Records patient care documentation in an electronic medical record accurately and in a timely manner
• Assists physician with procedures
• Organizes, stocks and cleans exam rooms
• Injections
• Phlebotomy services

Minimum Requirements:

• Two years of experience working both front and back office in a medical practice
• Highly proficient computer skills including experience with electronic medical records, practice management systems, and Microsoft Office (experience with Athena EMR is a plus)

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
