We are looking for a Patient Access Scheduling Rep to support patient registration and appointment coordination for a Contract position in Ukiah, California. In this role, you will help patients move through the scheduling and clearance process by confirming coverage details, securing required approvals, and addressing barriers to access with professionalism and accuracy. This opportunity is ideal for someone who communicates clearly, handles confidential information responsibly, and can balance patient service with administrative precision in a healthcare setting.

Responsibilities:
• Coordinate patient appointments and registration activities by gathering needed information, confirming eligibility, and preparing accounts for scheduled services.
• Review medical and financial details to help secure authorizations, referrals, and other approvals required before care can be delivered.
• Respond to inbound calls from patients, providers, and internal teams, offering clear guidance on scheduling, documentation, and access-related questions.
• Maintain accurate records in databases and scheduling systems while ensuring all entries meet organizational procedures and privacy standards.
• Work with clinical and administrative partners to resolve access issues, remove scheduling obstacles, and support timely care delivery.
• Interpret established policies and departmental guidelines to determine next steps when patient access, coverage, or documentation concerns arise.
• Handle sensitive patient and insurance information with discretion while supporting compliance with healthcare regulations and internal standards.
• Assist with communication and coordination across departments to keep scheduled programs organized and patient information current.• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Associate or technical degree, or a comparable combination of education and related experience, preferred.
• At least two years of experience in a healthcare environment preferred.
• Working knowledge of patient scheduling, registration, referrals, authorizations, and medical coverage verification.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain processes clearly to patients and staff.
• Experience using databases, websites, and scheduling platforms with strong attention to documentation accuracy.
• Ability to manage confidential information, follow policy and procedures, and exercise sound judgment in a fast-paced setting.
