Vice President of PreconstructionDallas-Fort Worth, TX | $200,000 to $215,000 base salary, plus performance bonuses | Full-TimeA Texas-headquartered industrial construction company with more than 70 million square feet delivered over 16 years seeks an experienced preconstruction executive to lead its estimating and preconstruction function. The company specializes in design-build, negotiated, and GMP delivery for industrial tilt-wall construction, serving manufacturing, distribution, powered shell, and data center clients across Texas and the broader United States. With several hundred million dollars of work currently under construction and growing demand in the data center sector, this is an opportunity to step into a senior leadership role at a company with demonstrated scale and continued expansion.ScheduleFull-time, Monday through Friday, based in the Dallas-Fort Worth metropolitan area. Relocation assistance is available for qualified candidates.Compensation$200,000 to $215,000 base salary, with significant performance bonuses.What You'll DoReporting to senior executive leadership, you will provide executive oversight of all preconstruction activities across the company's project portfolio. Your day-to-day work will center on ensuring consistent, high-quality deliverables across all pursuits, from smaller industrial projects in the $10 million range to complex multi-hundred-million-dollar programs in the data center and industrial sectors.You will lead the development of detailed estimates, budgets, and proposals, and will own the establishment and ongoing refinement of preconstruction processes, systems, and best practices that improve accuracy, efficiency, and competitive positioning. You will work closely with operations, project management, and executive leadership to align preconstruction strategy with how work is delivered in the field and how the company intends to grow.A significant portion of your role will involve evaluating project opportunities, conducting risk assessments, and developing bid strategies for design-build, negotiated, design-assist, and GMP pursuits. You will maintain and develop relationships with key clients, architects, and subcontractors to support the company's negotiated and design-assist pipeline. Building internal capability is equally important: you will mentor and develop estimating and preconstruction staff, creating the organizational depth needed to sustain growth.Required Qualifications15 or more years of progressive experience in construction preconstruction or estimating, with meaningful exposure to industrial tilt-wall, manufacturing, distribution, or data center projectsDemonstrated track record of leading preconstruction efforts on complex projects with values exceeding $50 millionStrong background in design-build, negotiated, design-assist, and GMP delivery methodsProven ability to lead and develop high-performing teamsStrong communication, analytical, and strategic thinking skills, with experience influencing at the executive levelBachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related fieldPreferred QualificationsExperience with powered shell or data center construction specificallyAdvanced degree (MBA or Master's in Construction Management or Engineering)Established relationships with industrial or data center clients, architects, or subcontractors in Texas or the broader SouthwestFamiliarity with estimating software platforms commonly used in industrial general contractingCompensation and BenefitsBase salary of $200,000 to $215,000Significant performance bonuses in addition to base compensationRelocation assistance availableMedical, dental, and vision insurance (confirm plan details with the employer)401(k) retirement plan (confirm match and vesting details with the employer)Paid time off (confirm accrual schedule with the employer)To apply, submit your resume and a brief description of your preconstruction leadership experience, including representative project types and values.
