District Manager Retail Locations: US-NE-Omaha, US-IA-Des Moines Salary: USD $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year Summary The District Manager Retail is responsible for the overall sales execution of business objectives within the assigned territory. In this key leadership role, the District Manager supports client programs by managing the sales execution teams dedicated to in-store programs. The position drives execution results through hands‑on management of teams, objectives, training and close coordination with peer management and support teams. Responsibilities Retail Execution Management Coaching all designated associates in district Maximizing execution through effective results management, regular team calls, one‑on‑one coaching, phone, email, and in‑person training, supported by a peer trainer Meeting each client’s execution expectations via reporting to impacted associates Effectively scheduling, managing, and executing all client programs Handling hiring, schedule management, training, personnel development, and program oversight of all programs in the district, including succession planning Results Management Managing flawless execution with proactive hiring, training, scheduling, supervision, and in‑store oversight Representing the company positively to clients and the community Promoting client priorities in store Delivering team training content in settings ranging from 1:1 to large group presentations Team Management Conducting coaching sessions with associates to discuss strategies for ongoing demonstration and improvement, plus regular visits for coaching, accountability, and motivation Communicating with the support team within the assigned district to address support issues and determine appropriate modes of communication Using reporting to review sales team results, monitor un‑staffed locations, and assess trends Training associates in store relationship building, product knowledge, and selling skills Recruiting, interviewing, hiring, and scheduling direct reports Conducting employee evaluations and performance reviews Identifying succession candidates to support future business growth Additional responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor or other manager related to the position or department. Minimum Qualifications Associate’s degree or equivalent experience (required) Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (preferred) 2–4 years of experience in retail management, including hiring, managing part‑time employees, demonstration or marketing, results reporting, inventory, merchandising, and training Skills, Knowledge and Abilities Ability to direct, lead, coach, and develop people Good interpersonal skills Strong computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook, and web browsers Ability to complete multiple duties accurately, shifting from one to another with frequent interruptions and competing deadlines Well‑organized, detail‑oriented, and able to handle a fast‑paced work environment Skill in supervising, delegating responsibility, training, and evaluating performance Ability to work effectively with management Travel and Driving Requirements Travel and driving are essential duties and function of this job. Travel or drive up to 60 % of time. Environmental and Physical Requirements Work is performed primarily in an office environment. Approximately 66 % or more of each workday is spent engaging in physical activity, lifting and/or pushing up to 50 pounds, standing on feet for long periods, using products or cooking food as appropriate for the demonstration, and potentially working in extremely cold conditions (e.g., refrigerated and freezer sections). Proper safety practices are required when handling products or cooking.
