Equine Facility Stable Crew Member

The Equine Facility at UNH depends on stable crew members to help care for our herd of 30+ horses. On-the-job training is provided for all duties and advancement opportunities are available. 30-40 hrs. per week through the summer break.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Mucking stalls and paddocks
• Hauling and stacking hay
• Basic horse handling and care
• Sweeping floors and cleaning equipment
• Basic herd feeding duties
• Summer facility maintenance

Training Available for Advancement Opportunities Include the Following:

• Vehicle driving clearance and operation
• Advanced horse handling and grooming
• Advanced herd care and basic medical care
• Leadership opportunities for tier 3 staff members.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• Some knowledge and experience working with horses helpful but not required.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Horse handling experience.
