Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Night Shift | Options: 4x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM, no call) or 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM, with call requirement of at least one 12-hour call shift bi-weekly) | Every other weekend coverage expected

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to NICU patients ranging from 22 weeks gestation and greater, including those with diagnoses such as HIE, RDS, sepsis, diaphragmatic hernia, myelomeningocele, drug exposure/withdrawal, and related conditions
• Perform and assist with specialized procedures including full body cooling, chest tube management, tracheostomy management, Avastin administration, and laser eye surgery support
• Operate specialized equipment including Arctic Sun, Jet Ventilator, HFOV, Draeger Ventilator, Bubble CPAP, HFNC, Atom and GE Dual Incubators, and B Braun and Infinity feeding pumps
• Document patient care accurately using EPIC EMR (minimum 1 year of experience required)
• Utilize Pyxis/Omnicell unit systems for medication management
• Float to other NICU units or facilities as needed based on census demands, performing only tasks within demonstrated and documented competencies

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in South Carolina
• BLS certification required
• NRP certification required
• STABLE certification required
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in NICU, with required experience in both NICU Level II and Level III
• Minimum 1 year of recent EPIC EMR experience required
• First-time travelers are not eligible for this position
• Must live at least 100 miles from all system facilities to be fully eligible; candidates residing 50–99.9 miles from the contracted campus may be considered at a reduced rate for night shift; candidates under 50 miles are ineligible

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with advanced neonatal equipment including external shunts, ostomy care, and radiant warmers
• Familiarity with Alaris and Philips central monitoring systems
• Experience supporting surgical repair of neonatal anomalies (excluding cardiac)
