Here, you'll work alongside other program security experts and military members to support their military operational objectives by providing them with a safe and secure operating environment. Work The Work: This position is located at MCAS Miramar, CA and will support the F-35 security operations. You will primarily be assigned to first shift but may need flexibility to work second or third shift, including weekends, as required by customer and mission needs. You may also be required to work non-standard schedules, supporting mission requirements. Some business travel may be required, including deployment and detachment support in austere locations to support F-35 security operations outside MCAS Miramar. Duties Assist instructors, students and visitors using facilities; Operate badging and access control systems; Monitor security camera systems; Perform random entry/exit searches; Enforce all DoN, local security procedures and practices, DoD Manual 5205.07, ICD 705, TSCO responsibilities; Control access to secure facilities, handle and store classified documents and electronic media; Monitor compliance with COMSEC and COMPUSEC; Provide assistance with file plans and documentation maintenance in classified containers; Change combinations and generate SF 700s; Assist in self inspections and prepare for customer inspections; Perform and document vault alarm tests; Assist in security inquiries; Provide collateral security support; Assist in training and scheduling of vault hours and coverage in specified squadrons or Pilot Training Center (PTC), and additional duties as required/assigned. Basic Qualifications Current SECRET security clearance with an investigation within 5 years from closed date, or confirmed enrollment within the Continuous Evaluation (CE) program; Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret/SCI security clearance or confirmed enrollment within the CE program if local mission requirements dictate; Ability to obtain and maintain access to Special Access Programs (SAPs); Ability to obtain and maintain access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) if mission requirements dictate; Familiar with working in classified environments and/or classified materials. Desired Skills Experience working in a Special Access Program (SAP) environment; Experience working in a military environment, specifically the USMC or Navy; Prior experience working with and implementing Standard Operating Procedures, Security Plans, and Operations; Knowledge of DoD Manual 5205.07, DoD Manual 5200.01 Volumes 1-3, ICD 705 and associated Technical Specifications; Experience providing briefings and/or training; Experience with DISS. Pay Rate Annual base salary range in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC: $57,400 – $101,200. For states not referenced above, the salary range reflects the candidate's final work location. Annual base salary range in most major metropolitan areas in California, Massachusetts, and New York: $66,000 – $114,425.
