CNC Machinist

The JobSquad Solutions Team is currently looking for a CNC Machinist to work at a company located in the Grass Lake, MI area!Job Title: CNC MachinistJob Location: Grass Lake, MIPay and Hours for Job + Benefits: $18/hr+ (Higher payrate based on experience)Second Shift: 2:30pm-12:30am or 3:30pm-1:30am, Monday through Saturday (Hours may vary; Sundays as needed)Job Description: We're looking for experienced Machinists who are ready to put their skills to work on large-scale, complex machining projects. This is not a production machining environment—every day brings new challenges, requiring precision, problem-solving, and technical expertise. Ideal candidates will have experience with 5-axis machining, large automotive die components, and controller-based programming. If you enjoy tackling unique setups, and seeing the direct impact of your craftsmanship, this could be the opportunity for you.Responsibilities:1. Operate and program large CNC milling machines2. Perform machining of large die components3. Program at the machine controller and make necessary adjustments4. Read and interpret blueprints and machining specifications5. Troubleshoot machining and tooling issues6. Maintain quality and accuracy throughout the machining process7. Follow all safety and production standardsQualifications:1. Minimum 4 years of machining experience preferred2. Required experience with 5-axis machining (3+2 axis experience is a must)3. Experience machining large dies or large fabricated components4. Knowledge of G-code programming and controller-based programming5. Experience with Fanuc and/or Heidenhain controllers6. Ability to read and interpret blueprints7. Experience with large mills (4-12 meters or larger) required8. Experience with Parpas, Mitsubishi, Mechoff, Pratt, YCM, or Okuma machines is highly preferred9. SMIRT programming experience is a plus10. Defense or large fabrication machining experience is a plus11. Must possess personal tools appropriate for the role (to a reasonable degree)12. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills13. Reliable attendance and strong work ethic14.
