Are you looking for a career in the beverage alcohol industry? Then come join our team at Alabama Crown Distributing Co. as a Merchandiser in Montgomery Alabama. The position is to help enhance Georgia Crown’s presence in retail outlets, in regards to customer service.

• To regularly call on established accounts within a specific territory, promoting and selling the full range of Georgia Crown’s products.
• Must have overall product knowledge, properly inventory and survey the store for sales opportunities, and have a positive, mutually productive relationship with the account.
• Must achieve and maintain new distributions, shelf adjacencies, cold box adjacencies, and display goals.

• Promote monthly programs and pricing, keep up with market trends and conditions, and be aware of competitive activities.
• Sales rep should understand Georgia Crown’s policies and procedures, keep accurate account records and route books, keep monthly and daily preplans, and understand and work accounts within the applicable delivery schedules.
• Must be concise and accurate in taking and placing orders and assist, when necessary, in collection and special problems. Must communicate with suppliers in promoting and building their brands.
• Must be on time to all meetings and be prepared with requested information. If called upon, they should actively participate in meetings.
• Must be able to understand beer sets and demonstrate the ability to implement.
• Must be willing to merchandise accounts (displays and shelves) to improve positions of brands.
• Other duties assigned

• Must be at least 21 years of age

• Must be able to lift at least 40 lbs occasionally/frequently to build displays and install POS materials.

• Knowledge of similar industry is preferred.

• College Degree preferred

• Basic Computer skills

• Must have good people/communication skills and willingness to work with store owners, managers and sales reps

• Must be able to push, pull and carry cases of product (i.e. building displays and stocking shelves with specialty products)

• Must be able to work long & flexible hours

• Willing to work in McDonough and Atlanta areas

• Must possess a valid Georgia driver's license

• Acceptable Motor Vehicle Record:

• Cannot have more than two (2): moving violations and/or at-fault vehicle accidents (any combination) in the past three (3) years (for speeding, violations must be under 16mph)

• Cannot have more than one (1): speeding violation of 16-29mph OR at-fault accident in the past three (3) years

• Cannot have a major violation such as: DUI/DWI, hit-and-run, reckless driving, and/or super speeder (29+mph) violation in the past five (5) years

• Must be able to keep 100/300/100 liability amounts on car insurance
• Must have reliable transportation
• Background checks will be conducted (i.e. Police background, reference checks)
