Lakeland Regional High School is seeking caring, dedicated, and student-centered Paraprofessional to provide instructional, behavioral, and personal support to students in both general and special education settings. The successful candidate will work under the direction of certified teaching staff and administrators to help students achieve academic, social, behavioral, and functional success in a safe and inclusive learning environment.

Responsibilities:

• Assist teachers in implementing instructional activities and reinforcing classroom lessons.
• Provide individual and small-group support to students as directed by the classroom teacher.
• Support students with academic, behavioral, social, and organizational needs.
• Assist students with activities of daily living, including personal care, when required.
• Implement behavior intervention plans and accommodations as directed by instructional staff.
• Supervise students in classrooms, hallways, cafeterias, study halls, field trips, and other school settings as assigned.
• Prepare instructional materials and assist with classroom organization.
• Maintain confidentiality of student records and information.
• Foster positive relationships with students while encouraging independence and self-advocacy.
• Collaborate effectively with teachers, case managers, related service providers, and administrators.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the building administration.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of a valid New Jersey Substitute Credential required.
• Previous experience working with children or adolescents in an educational setting is preferred.
• Experience supporting students with disabilities is preferred.
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of an educational team.
• Demonstrated patience, flexibility, and a commitment to student success.
• Must satisfy all New Jersey Department of Education employment requirements, including criminal history background clearance.

Salary range: $28,895 - $34,668 in accordance with the Lakeland Educational Association (LEA) Negotiated Agreement.
