Job Title: Polysomnographic Tech

Profession: Healthcare Specialty: Sleep Disorders

Duration: 13 weeks Shift: M-W Hours per Shift: 12.5

Experience: Minimum of 2 years of recent experience within specialty. License: Certification or registration in one of the following: Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists (BRPT) or Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT). Certifications: Current American Heart Association's Basic Life Support Certification (BLS).

Must-Have:

• Good written and oral communication skills.
• Expertise in sleep disorders, sleep activity, abnormalities, movement arousals, and respirations.
• One year of experience in sleep study activity.

Description: Prepares adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients and equipment for sleep disorders testing. Monitors the polysomnogram and documents according to policy. Demonstrates the ability to identify abnormalities and manage respirations effectively. Engages with patients to ensure a comfortable and informative testing experience. Responsible for adhering to all safety and testing protocols during procedures. Participates in continuous education and remains updated on best practices in sleep medicine. Must be willing to work major holidays as required.
