Tax Manager

We are seeking an experienced Tax Manager to join our growing public accounting team. This role is responsible for managing client relationships, reviewing complex tax returns, mentoring staff, and delivering high-quality tax planning and compliance services across a variety of industries.

The ideal candidate will have strong technical tax knowledge, leadership experience, and a client-focused mindset.

Responsibilities:

Review complex individual, partnership, corporate, and trust tax returns
Manage multiple client engagements and deadlines simultaneously
Provide tax planning and consulting services to clients
Research and resolve federal and state tax issues
Supervise, mentor, and develop tax staff and seniors
Build and maintain strong client relationships
Assist with business development and practice growth initiatives
Ensure compliance with firm standards and tax regulations

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
CPA license preferred or actively pursuing
5+ years of public accounting tax experience
Experience reviewing 1040, 1065, 1120, and 1120S returns
Strong leadership and communication skills
Experience with tax software such as CCH Axcess, UltraTax, or similar
Ability to manage multiple priorities during busy season

Preferred Industry Experience:

Construction, Real Estate, Manufacturing, Healthcare, Nonprofit, or Professional Services
