ATG Developer

We are looking for an ATG developer to produce scalable software solutions. You'll be part of a cross-functional team that's responsible for the full software development life cycle, from conception to deployment. As an ATG Developer, you will leverage the latest ATG eCommerce technologies to lead enterprise-level eCommerce initiatives by designing and developing an ATG commerce platform through database design, application development, and J2EE apps. Familiarity with Agile methodologies and DevOps environment is required.

Responsibilities:

• Analyze, design, and implement commerce features such as product, catalog, search, cart and checkout on the ATG Commerce platform (ATG 11.x).
• Effectively give and receive a thorough design and/or code review following documented coding standards and design template
• Develop and perform effective unit testing procedures
• Involved in project from startup through implementation to ensure all aspects of the technology plan are accounted for, understood, defined and executed successfully
• Provide estimates for development work and meets deadlines
• Work in an open environment, team setting
• Work with Business Analysts and Solution Managers to address requirement questions
• Work closely with Business Analysts to design scalable solutions to problems
• Work with other team members on medium and large-sized projects
• Work with peers, team leads and supervisors in a collaborative and shared-learning environment
• Participate in associate meetings and communicate concerns to management
• Work with both co-located and distributed teams
• Work with third-party software providers to ensure solutions meet the needs of our client
• Provide mentorship to other developers

Required skills:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science/Engineering or master's degree in Computer Science/Engineering.
• A Bachelor's Degree in computer related field is required to perform at expectation
• 8+ years programming experience in Java
• Extensive experience with the ATG Commerce platform
• Experience with JBOSS, Linux, and Automated Software Development Tools (Jenkins, GIT, JUNIT)
• Knowledge of Web Security best practices
• Experience working with relational databases, Oracle and/or SQL Server
• Ability to organize and prioritize work
• Ability to multi-task with multiple pieces of work
• Ability to effectively work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment
• Knowledge of the software development lifecycle methodologies, processes and procedures
• Aptitude for analyzing data and business processes
• Demonstrates the ability to follow instructions, while also applying learned knowledge
• Advanced understanding of Application Software systems
• Ability to effectively communicate both in writing and verbally
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office software (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, etc.)
• Ability to stay up to date with current technology enhancements
• Work experience in a complete agile environment along with knowledge of agile processes and ceremonies.

Desired skills:

• Knowledge and experience in the below domains
• Understanding UX Design concepts
• Knowledge of AWS/GCP/Microsoft Azure
• Understanding of Jenkins and other Pipeline Automation related technologies
• Agile certifications
