Must Have Technical/Functional Skills:

• ETL Design and Architecture ,Performance optimization.
• Problem solving and debugging skills , Leadership and mentorship, ETL Tools (Informatics , IICS , Datastage).
• Database Core concepts - SQL,PL/SQL , Unix-Shell, Python, Communication and collaboration

Roles & Responsibilities:

ETL Architecture & Solution Design:
• Lead the design and implementation of scalable ETL solutions for enterprise data warehouse and data integration initiatives.
• Define ETL architecture, data movement strategies, framework standards, and best practices.
• Develop source-to-target mappings, technical design documents, and implementation plans.
• Ensure adherence to enterprise architecture, security, governance, and data quality standards.

ETL Development & Delivery:
• Design, develop, and maintain ETL processes using Informatica PowerCenter, IICS, and DataStage.
• Develop reusable ETL frameworks, utilities, and accelerators to improve delivery efficiency.
• Work closely with data architects, business analysts, and application teams to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Lead end-to-end ETL project delivery including development, testing, deployment, and production support.

Performance Optimization:
• Analyze and tune ETL workflows, mappings, sessions, and SQL queries to meet SLAs.
• Optimize database performance through indexing strategies, partitioning, and query tuning.
• Identify bottlenecks in ETL pipelines and implement performance improvement measures.
• Drive efficient handling of large-volume data loads, incremental processing, and parallel execution strategies.


Problem Solving & Debugging
• Troubleshoot complex ETL failures, data quality issues, and production incidents.
• Perform root cause analysis and implement permanent corrective actions.
• Support critical production deployments and lead issue resolution during incident management.
• Establish monitoring, alerting, and recovery mechanisms for ETL processes.

Leadership & Team Management:
• Lead a team of ETL developers and provide technical direction across multiple projects.
• Conduct code reviews, design reviews, and ensure adherence to development standards.
• Mentor junior team members and facilitate technical skill development.
• Participate in effort estimation, sprint planning, resource allocation, and project tracking.
• Drive continuous improvement initiative s and adoption of industry best practices.

Database & Programming:
• Develop complex SQL queries, PL/SQL procedures, functions, packages, and performance tuning solutions.
• Create automation scripts using Shell Scripting and Python.
• Support data validation, reconciliation, and data quality framework implementations.

Communication & Collaboration:
• Partner with business stakeholders, architects, project managers, and offshore/onshore teams.
• Present technical solutions, risks, and recommendations to leadership and business users.
• Facilitate requirement discussions, design workshops, and technical reviews.
• Ensure effective communication across cross-functional teams and project stakeholders.

Salary Range - $100,000-$120,000 a year
