About the Position

Job Title: Cardiovascular/Electrophysiology Specialist III Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Electrophysiology Cath Lab Duration: Permanent Shift: Weekdays Hours per Shift: 10 Experience: Minimum two years of experience as a Cardiovascular Specialist preferred License: Required Certifications: Invasive Cardiovascular Specialist/Electrophysiology Specialist training or experience preferred Must-Have: Electrophysiology Specialist Description: The Cardiovascular/Electrophysiology Specialist III provides professional care in the Invasive Cardiac, Electrophysiology, and Vascular Laboratories in accordance with hospital policies and procedures. Demonstrates evidence-based practice and performs care for the comfort and well-being of the patient. Performs and/or assists with treatments, therapies, and procedures under the direction of the physician. Acts as scrub assistant, monitoring, and circulating during procedures. Administers medication under the direct supervision of the physician, as appropriate. Documents a current clinical picture and records designated information in the patient record. Conveys relevant information to physicians and teammates. Calculates, interprets, and analyzes data. Assists in the development of policies, procedures, and standards of care reflective of current practice and literature. Participation in committee and governance activities is highly recommended.
