This role includes documenting medication administration, adhering to infection control protocols, and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards. The technician participates in audits and data collection to support performance improvement efforts. They monitor for adverse reactions and report them promptly while maintaining medication supply levels. The technician also ensures patient confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA regulations.Key ResponsibilitiesAdminister medications under RN supervision in compliance with policy and regulationsDocument medication administration and reasons for non-administration in the MARFollow infection control procedures and safety protocols during medication deliveryParticipate in audits and report adverse reactions to supervisorsMaintain medication supplies and uphold HIPAA confidentiality standardsQualifications & RequirementsEDUCATIONHigh School graduate or equivalent.EXPERIENCE1 year related experience in a medical environment preferred.LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONSMust be certified as a Medication Technician in the state within which services are provided and have current CPR Certification.We Are an Equal Employment Opportunity EmployerWe are committed to fostering, cultivating, and preserving a culture of uniqueness.
