Radiologic Technologist (X-ray)
Location: Elizabeth, New Jersy Reports To: Radiology Supervisor / Medical Director
Position Summary
We are seeking a licensed Radiologic Technologist to join our diagnostic imaging team. This role involves capturing high-quality medical images using advanced radiographic equipment while ensuring patient safety and comfort. The ideal candidate will be compassionate, technically skilled, and a strong communicator.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate X-ray machines to produce diagnostic images
- Prepare and position patients properly for imaging procedures
- Ensure patient understanding of procedures and promote comfort throughout
- Maintain equipment and perform quality control checks
- Follow radiation safety protocols to protect patients and staff
- Accurately document procedures and patient information in electronic medical records
- Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare teams to support patient diagnoses
Qualifications
- Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program (Associates or Bachelors)
- ARRT certification and active state license (or eligibility)
- BLS/CPR certification
- Preferred: 13 years of experience in a clinical setting
- Strong understanding of anatomy, patient positioning, and radiation protection
- Ability to assist patients physically and lift up to 50 pounds
