Job Title
The ideal candidate will be friendly, devoted, curious, and have a strong passion for food with a particular interest in baking and pastry.
The job description includes:
- Following recipes, portion controls, pars, and presentation specifics as set by kitchen management
- Setting up station according to established expectations
- Executing production from start to finish. This includes but is not limited to the production and management of all in-house baked items and pastry production
- Working collaboratively with BOH staff and FOH staff
- Maintaining cleanliness of all BOH work areas, including and not limited to refrigeration, cooking equipment, and prep areas
- Participating in deep cleaning of BOH work areas, including and not limited to refrigeration, cooking equipment, and prep areas
- Following set schedule and giving appropriate notification for tardiness and absence
- Conforming to Department of Health requirements to run an A-level kitchen
Salary: $22.66 - $23.69/hour
Qualifications include:
- General knife handling, food safety & sanitation knowledge
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced and high-energy environment
- High volume restaurant or bakery experience preferred
- Able to take constructive criticism, learn quickly and constantly improve
- Able to follow recipes without direct supervision
- Strong time management skills and able to execute dishes consistently and effectively
- Full availability (including weekends)
