Training Specialist

Instructional Designer

Pay Rate: $39.00 per hour - $41.00 per hour Work Mode: Remote

Responsibilities:

• Develop training programs and materials using various learning methodologies for classroom, self-directed, and web-based delivery.
• Integrate adult learning theory and creativity into design elements for interactive and effective learning experiences.
• Determine and develop appropriate training solutions based on business needs, performance goals, and audience analysis.
• Create, deploy, and maintain eLearning media using tools such as Storyline and other media as needed.
• Participate in program design through needs assessments, task analysis, and content validation with subject matter experts.
• Create supporting design documents including storyboards and mock-ups.
• Construct end-user classroom materials, facilitator guides, assessments, and supporting documentation.
• Design and develop data collection tools and methods to measure training impact.
• Build engaging user interfaces and graphic design elements for websites and eLearning media.
• Review and test media for use within the organization and/or deployment via LMS systems.
• Research current industry best practices in learning and eLearning and apply them in instructional solutions.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree or comparable experience in eLearning, Instructional Design, or a related field, and/or eLearning Technical Certifications.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in Instructional Design, eLearning, multimedia, or website development.
• Experience with content authoring tools such as Articulate Storyline 3, Articulate 360, Adobe Creative Cloud applications, Camtasia, and SnagIt.
• Knowledge of LMS systems and creating compliant content for LMS.
• Knowledge of Web-based Training (WBT) creation and media creation such as audio, video, custom animations, and graphics.
• Understanding of adult learning principles, assessment, needs analysis, and job task analysis.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in instructional design across modalities (face-to-face, hybrid, and online courses).
• Visual design experience in crafting the visual experience that complements course content.
• Experience in creating user interfaces that facilitate optimal learning experiences.
• Adult education experience in a financial services and/or corporate setting is a plus.
