You will help drive our insurance business transformation as we redefine experiences for our customers.Position DescriptionOur Senior Engineer is a key member of the engineering staff working across the organization to provide a friction-less experience to our customers and maintain the highest standards of protection and availability. Our team thrives and succeeds in delivering high quality services in a growth environment where priorities shift quickly. The ideal candidate has broad and deep technical knowledge, typically ranging from front-end UIs through back-end systems and all points in between.Position ResponsibilitiesAs a Senior Engineer, you will:Scope, design, and build scalable, resilient distributed systems including front-end and back-end developmentEngage in cross-functional collaboration throughout the entire software lifecycleLead in design sessions and code reviews with peers to elevate the quality of engineering across the organizationDefine, create, and support reusable application components/patterns from a business and technology perspectiveUtilize programming languages like Java, C#, Python or other object-oriented languages, SQL, and NoSQL databases, Container Orchestration services including Docker and Kubernetes, and a variety of Azure tools and servicesMentor other engineersConsistently share best practices and improve processes within and across teamsQualificationsExperience with a modern language such as Java, C# or Python, and with open-source software is a plusAdvanced experience with Java, C#/.NET, HTML-5, JavaScript/TypeScript, Angular/react, XML, JSON, RESTful Web Services and/or Flutter (a plus)Proven full-stack development experience understanding of microservices oriented architecture and API first design (REST, graphQL)Experience architecting and designing new and current systemsAdvanced understanding of monitoring concepts and toolingAdvanced understanding of security protocols and productsExperience with continuous delivery and infrastructure as codeAbility to excel in a fast-paced environmentArchitecture assessment and proposalsExperience4+ years of experience of developing and running container orchestration platforms for large enterprises at scale3+ years of experience with architecture, and design3+ years of experience with open-source frameworks is desired. \2+ years of experience with AWS, GCP, Azure, or another cloud serviceEducationBachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or equivalent education or work experienceAnnual Salary$105,000.00 - $215,000.00The above annual salary range is a general guideline. Multiple factors are taken into consideration to arrive at the final hourly rate/ annual salary to be offered to the selected candidate.
