Shipping and Receiving ClerkThe Shipping and Receiving Clerk plays a key role in ensuring that inventory, incoming shipments, and outgoing orders are handled accurately, efficiently, and with care. This position requires an energetic, relationship-minded professional who works independently, creates clear plans and schedules, and consistently completes tasks with excellence. You will support daily warehouse and inventory operations while contributing to a positive, service-focused work culture.ResponsibilitiesReceive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments to ensure accuracy against packing lists and purchase orders.Prepare, package, and label outgoing shipments in accordance with company standards and carrier requirements.Perform inventory control activities, including counting, tracking, and updating inventory records to maintain accurate stock levels.Organize and store small to mid-sized packages in designated locations to support efficient warehouse operations.Operate shipping and receiving equipment, including forklifts, in a safe and responsible manner when required.Create and follow daily work plans and schedules to complete shipping, receiving, and inventory tasks on time.Enter shipping, receiving, and inventory data accurately using a computer and keyboard.Collaborate effectively with colleagues and other departments to coordinate shipments and resolve issues.Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe work area in the shipping and receiving department.Communicate with humility, respect, and a service mindset when interacting with internal and external partners.Proactively identify opportunities to improve processes and support the growth of the business.Handle packages with care to prevent damage and ensure that orders are fulfilled correctly.Essential SkillsProven ability to work independently, create a plan, organize a schedule, and accomplish tasks with excellence.Energetic, self-starter mindset with strong motivation to take initiative and follow through on responsibilities.Strong relationship skills, including humility, respect, service orientation, encouragement, and a positive attitude.High level of attention to detail when handling inventory, shipments, and documentation.Ability to lift, carry, and move small to mid-sized packages safely throughout the workday.Ability to type and enter information accurately using a keyboard.Experience with shipping and receiving processes in a warehouse or distribution environment.Experience with inventory and inventory control practices.Ability to work well with others and contribute to a supportive, team-oriented environment.Desire and ability to learn new tasks and adapt as the business grows.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience operating a forklift in a shipping, receiving, or warehouse setting.Familiarity with shipping and receiving documentation and basic inventory systems.Comfort using computer-based tools to track inventory and shipments.Demonstrated reliability and consistency in meeting deadlines and completing assigned tasks.Willingness to take on new responsibilities as operations expand.Why Work Here?You will join a culture that values humility, respect, service, encouragement, and a genuinely positive attitude. Attire is practical and suitable for a warehouse environment, allowing you to work comfortably and safely while performing physical and operational tasks.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Grove City, OH.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $18.00 - $21.00/hr.Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
