JOB OVERVIEW Profession: Physician Specialty: Interventional Cardiology Job Type: Locum Tenens Location: Cottonwood, AZ Service Setting: Hospital/Clinic Coverage Type: Clinical Only Coverage Period: Aug 17, 2026 Ongoing Clinical Shift Schedule: Monday Friday, 7:00am 5:30, possible weekend PATIENT INFORMATION Patient Demographics: Adults, Geriatrics (60+) Patient Volume/Census: 8-14 consults per day, 18-24 clinic patients per day Case Mix: Cardiology, Interventional Cardiology, STEMI FACILITY INFORMATION EMR System: Cerner Support Staff Available: MAs, PCTs, Nurses, PAs PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE Hospital Privileges Required: Yes Credentialing Timeline: 30 days JOB REQUIREMENTS Licenses: Active AZ license (time to obtain) Board: Board Certified in Interventional Cardiology Certifications: ACLS, BLS Experience: Minimum 2 years DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Provide interventional cardiology coverage at Verde Valley Medical Center Perform hospital consults (8-14 per day) Conduct clinic visits (18-24 patients per day) Perform transesophageal echocardiograms (TEES) as needed Manage STEMI and other cardiology emergencies
