Position Overview:

Under direct supervision of the Cardiologist, the Cardiology RN will be responsible for explaining the procedure to the patients, what the exercise protocol entails, if the ordered protocol is appropriate for the patient based on physical and medical information observed and provided, the adverse effects that they may experience and overseeing all the practical aspects of the procedure.

Requirements:

1YR+ Exp Working in Specialty 

1YR+ Exp Working Only in Acute Care Setting 

ACTIVE BLS (AHA)

ACTIVE ACLS (AHA)

ACTIVE PALS (AHA)(Required within 9 months of hire)

IV conscious sedation (Preferred)

50 proctored Exercise Stress Test/Nuclear Imaging Stress Tess by the Cardiologists.

Must have completed a 12 lead ECG course.

Must have 10 hours of physician lead Didactic time.
