Must-Have: Prior travel experience required. Experience managing various continuous IV medications. Experience with cardiac drips such as Amiodarone, Cardizem, Dobutamine, Dopamine, Milrinone, and Nitroglycerin. Experience with diuretics including Bumex and Lasix. Experience with anticoagulants such as Aggrastat, Argatroban, and Heparin. Experience managing insulin drips.

Description: This position requires a registered nurse specializing in cardiac telemetry. The nurse will work with an adult to geriatric patient population. Key responsibilities include arrhythmia management, cardiac CHF, chest pain, renal, and pulmonary care. The nurse will also treat patients with DVT and manage various cardiac arrhythmias. Surgical patient care will include cholecystectomies, appendectomies, chest tube placements, and biliary drains. Occasional vascular patients and post-cardiac catheterization care will be part of the role. Basic arrhythmia knowledge and hemodynamic monitoring are essential. The nurse will be expected to help with overflow IMCU patients as necessary. Patient ratios will typically be 1:5-6. The unit utilizes Epic for charting, and telemetry competency will be required. Floating to like units is expected as needed. Call requirements are rare, with a response time of two hours. If any major holiday falls within the assignment period, the nurse will be required to work it. Compliance with all onboarding requirements is necessary for timely start.
