Rush University Medical Center, a nationally recognized clinical and academic institution and the teaching hospital for Rush Medical and Nursing Colleges, located in downtown Chicago, invites applications for the position of   a part-time Long-Term Acute Care Advanced Practice Provider.  The new 100-bed facility is a combined critical illness recovery and inpatient rehabilitation hospital on the Rush University Medical Center campus. The RUSH Specialty Hospital is outfitted with the latest technology and features 44 critical illness recovery and 56 inpatient rehabilitation beds.

Work alongside three fellow LTACH APPs in collaboration with Rush University Hospitalists and Select Medical.

\n

Duties & Responsibilities:

\n

10-hour or 12-hour shifts. Days only including weekends.

\n

Will report directly to the Hospital Medicine Lead Advanced Practice Provider

\n

100% inpatient

\n

 

\n

Preferred Qualifications:

\n

Applicants with previous Advanced Practice Provider experience in Hospital Medicine, Critical Care or related specialty is preferred, not required. Relevant RN experience may be considered.

\n

APRN Candidates will require Acute Care Certification.

\n

Position Requirements:

\n

Nurse Practitioner:

\n

\n
• Current licensure from the State of Illinois as a Registered Professional Nurse and Advanced Practice Nurse or eligible to obtain a licensure through the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR) application process
\n
• Master of Science in Nursing or Doctorate of Nursing practice with clinical specialty appropriate to position
\n
• Current certification by American Nurse Credentialing Center (ANCC) or American Academy of Nurse Practitioner (AANP)
\n
• CPR, ACLS, and PALS certifications
\n

\n

 

\n

Physician Assistant:

\n

\n
• Current licensure from the State of Illinois as a Physician Assistant/Associate or eligible to obtain a licensure through the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR) application process
\n
• Successful completion of an accredited Physician Assistant/Associate Program
\n
• Current certification from National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants

• CPR, ACLS, and PALS certifications
\n

The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) will promote collaboration between multiple disciplines to ensure cost effective and quality patient care. The individual who holds this position will exemplify the Rush mission, vision and values and act in accordance with the policies, procedures, guidelines of Rush, including the Rush Medical Group Customer Service standards. Successful candidates will also meet all other state and federal regulatory practice and accreditation standards.

Rush offers competitive total compensation that includes base pay, benefits, and other incentive programs for our employees. The total pay range shown reflects the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, specialty; relevant experience and training; and other business and organizational factors. This total pay range is for a full-time, 1.0 FTE employee, and includes any incentive payments that may be applicable to this role. Additional compensation may include premium pay rates, sign-on bonuses, and relocation allowances. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package.

Pay Range: $124,610 - $175,000
