Store Manager in Training

The Store Manager In Training (SMIT) program is a development‑focused role that prepares you for a future CVS Store Manager position. The 16‑week program includes self‑paced, collaborative training and both virtual and hands‑on learning experiences. Responsibilities Actively engage with leaders in key learning experiences and support your promotion path within the structured program. Support the store management team and lead in a manner consistent with CVS values and policies. Lead store operations, including customer service, merchandising, inventory and asset management to maintain profitability. Communicate effectively verbally and in writing to support and lead your team. Perform customer care duties to provide high levels of service. Execute merchandising strategies to support store sales growth. Qualifications High school diploma or GED required; a four‑year college degree preferred or relevant work experience may be considered. Retail management experience or experience as a CVS supervisor. Willingness to accept promotion to Store Manager and be available to work a schedule that may vary based on business needs. Ability to transfer to other CVS Pharmacy stores within the designated market. Ability to work full time and anticipate 45 hours per week. Commitment to CVS values and policies.
