About the Position & Its Impact

The Farmhouse at Milestones is looking for a skilled Cook with a background in elevated dining to prepare thoughtful, seasonal, individually plated meals for our clients and team. This is a four-day schedule with daytime hours: Thursday and Friday from 5:30am to 2:00pm, and Saturday and Sunday from 6:00am to 6:00pm. No nights, and Monday through Wednesday off every week.

The people who come to Milestones are doing some of the hardest and most important work of their lives. They arrive carrying a lot, often from across the country and around the world, and every part of their stay is designed to help them feel cared for. Food is a big part of that. A beautiful plate made with real intention tells someone they matter. In this role, your craft becomes part of their healing.

About the Day-to-Day in This Role

• Prepare and plate breakfast, lunch, and dinner for clients and staff, with a focus on fresh, seasonal, health-forward cooking and clean, creative presentation
• Follow and help execute weekly menus, adapting dishes for dietary needs and preferences
• Run a clean, organized, and well-stocked kitchen, including prep, storage, and food safety practices
• Coordinate with the Private Chef and Farmhouse team to keep meals consistent and the guest experience seamless
• Bring ideas to the table, from seasonal ingredients to new dishes and presentation

Ideal Education & Experience for the Role

We're open to candidates of all backgrounds and career paths, and we care most about what you can do on the plate. The ideal candidate brings:

• 2+ years cooking in an elevated setting such as fine dining, a luxury hotel or resort, a private club, or private chef work
• A strong eye for plating and presentation, with comfort cooking individually plated meals
• Experience with seasonal, farm-to-table, or health-forward cooking
• The ability to work independently and manage a kitchen solo during longer weekend shifts
• ServSafe certification or the willingness to obtain it
• Culinary school training is a plus, but not required
