Personal Tax Manager

Clark Wood are working with a well-established independent accountancy firm in Alton who are looking to recruit an experienced Senior Tax Manager to join their growing Private Client Tax team. This is a key hire offering part-time or full-time flexibility. The role will involve managing a varied portfolio of private clients, including high-net-worth individuals, trusts, estates, and directors of owner-managed businesses. Working closely with the Partners, you’ll also support a range of tax planning and advisory projects. You’ll lead compliance for approx. 1,000 clients (with the support of the wider team), maintain strong client relationships, and help identify tax planning opportunities. Key Responsibilities:

• Manage personal tax compliance for a diverse client base
• Handle advisory work for HNWIs, trusts, and estates
• Ensure timely and accurate submission of tax returns
• Build strong client relationships and provide high-quality advice
• Work closely with partners on planning and project work
• Keep up to date with legislation and share insights with the wider team

• CTA qualified (or qualified by experience)
• Strong experience in personal tax within practice
• Confident managing a complex client portfolio
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
• Organised, proactive, and able to manage deadlines
