Acute Care Float Pool Registered Nurse

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

This position offers Day and Night shifts, following a 3x12-hour schedule:

• Day Shift: 07:00 - 19:30
• Night Shift: 19:00 - 07:30

Job Description

The Acute Care Float Pool Registered Nurse will provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in an acute care setting. As part of the float pool, you'll have the opportunity to deliver care across a variety of departments, including medical, surgical, and telemetry units. The ideal candidate will demonstrate flexibility and strong clinical skills while managing a patient ratio of 1:5.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care, including administration of medications, monitoring vital signs, and managing patient needs.
• Coordinate and communicate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Utilize EPIC for charting and documentation of patient care.
• Engage in patient and family education regarding health management and community resources.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Must have a valid RN license with a minimum of 2 years of acute care experience.
• BCLS certification required; CPI preferred.
• Experience with patient ratios of 3-5 and proficiency in using EPIC is mandatory.
