HVAC Refrigeration Mechanic

Description The Refrigeration Mechanic at our Waterton facility located in Littleton, CO will: Be a motivated self‑starter, and Journeyman level commercial industrial HVAC experience. Have a wide range of skills to service a wide spectrum of infrastructure equipment. Use refrigeration background to repair, service, and order materials; layout and install commercial refrigeration and A/C piping systems and equipment based on engineered drawings. Work with medium and low-voltage equipment. Operate electronic DDC, pneumatic and low‑voltage controls. Have low‑temperature storage and food service experience (helpful), and cascade experience (desirable). Operate centrifugal, screw, or reciprocating chillers; possess diagnostic skills and repair experience (necessary), with tear‑down experience helpful. Maintain proper chemical treatment of open and closed‑loop piping systems, periodically clean cooling towers, and work with level controllers and sensors on cooling towers and rundown tanks. Communicate with equipment and parts suppliers to research replacement parts or repair information on an as‑needed basis. Basic Qualifications Journeyman Level Commercial HVAC/R experience EPA Universal certification Valid driver’s license Low and medium voltage experience Basic knowledge in electric/pneumatic/DC/DDC controls, commercial refrigeration systems, medium and low‑temperature storage, centrifugal/screw chiller operation and repair, chemical water treatment, air handler service/repair, commercial humidification, and computer room A/C. Required to obtain/maintain a security clearance as a condition of employment. U.S. citizenship required.
