Unlock your passion for working with exceptional students in an impactful Special Education setting! This contract opportunity offers the chance to make a difference as an on-site Special Education Teacher in a supportive environment with dedicated Paraprofessional (PCA) assistance. The assignment runs from now through May 27, 2027, providing valuable consistency and growth over multiple school years. The role focuses on Autistic Support classrooms, helping students develop essential skills in an inclusive and encouraging atmosphere.
Position Details:
- Full-time contract with a schedule of 7:45 am – 3:15 pm, Monday through Friday
- Collaborate with PCAs and other educational professionals for optimal student support
- Work with Autistic Support classrooms, providing individualized instruction to meet diverse learner needs
What You’ll Bring:
- Valid PA teaching certificate required
- Experience or genuine interest in working with students on the autism spectrum
- Skilled in adapting curriculum and instructional strategies to accommodate various learning styles
- Ability to communicate effectively with students, families, and team members
- Professionalism, patience, and enthusiasm for supporting children with special needs
Your Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction and implement IEP goals for students
- Maintain accurate records and contribute to IEP meetings
- Foster a positive, safe, and engaging learning environment
- Work collaboratively with support staff and administration
- Provide routine communication with families regarding student progress
