Maintenance Mechanic

Position Summary Under the general direction of the Maintenance Manager repairs, installs, adjusts, monitors, and maintains building HVAC/R, plumbing and electrical systems and performs skilled maintenance and repair tasks of the hospital building systems. Department Plant Operations Shift Days Daily Work Times 7:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. Scheduled Hours per Pay 80 Requirements High school diploma or equivalent required. Possess a building maintenance certificate or equivalent experience. Must possess valid State of Michigan Operator’s license Must meet approval by insurance carrier to drive hospital vehicles Preferred 4th class power engineering certification from NIULPE (National Institute for the Uniform Licensing of Power Engineers, Inc.) or has Third Class Stationary Engineer, licensed/registered by the State of Michigan Certification as a Health Care Mechanic or Health Care Engineer, as accredited by MECH or the Healthcare Facilities Alliance or similar agency. Previous experience in HVAC/R systems maintenance in a health care setting. Previous experience working alone, without assistance. Additional Information Schedule: Full-time Daily Work Times: 7:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. Hours Per Pay Period: 80 On Call: No Weekends: Yes #J-18808-Ljbffr McLaren Health Care
