Residential Direct Support ProfessionalMYEP is seeking Direct Support Professionals to support adults with disabilities in our residential program. Direct Support Professionals assist individuals in their homes and communities while promoting independence, dignity, and meaningful daily experiences.Staff provide supervision, guidance, and assistance with daily living activities while supporting individuals in building skills, maintaining relationships, and participating in their community.Our residential homes provide 24/7 support, so a variety of shifts are available including day, evening, weekend, and overnight shifts. Both awake overnight and asleep overnight positions may be available depending on the home assignment.This position requires reliability, strong communication skills, and the ability to work independently while providing respectful, person-centered support.Primary Responsibilities May IncludeAssisting individuals with daily routines and household activitiesSupporting meal preparation and basic cooking tasksEncouraging independence in personal care and hygieneAssisting with organization, budgeting, and daily planningSupporting individuals in community activities, appointments, and outingsEncouraging social engagement and skill developmentHelping individuals build relationships and participate in meaningful activitiesMonitoring general health and wellbeing of individuals supportedMedication administration according to training and agency proceduresRecognizing and reporting changes in health, mood, or behaviorCompleting progress notes and required documentation for each shiftCommunicating important updates to supervisors and team membersFollowing individual service plans and agency proceduresResidential Direct Support Professionals typically work in small residential homes supporting a small group of individuals. Staff may work independently or as part of a team depending on the shift.The position requires flexibility, problem solving, and the ability to provide consistent support in a home environment while maintaining professionalism and respect for the individuals served.Staff may assist with transportation, attend appointments, and support individuals in a variety of community settings.The Residential Program provides support 24 hours a day. We offer a variety of shift options to meet both staff and program needs. Common shift times include 8:00 AM–3:00 PM, 3:00 PM–10:00 PM, and overnight shifts from 10:00 PM–8:00 AM. Flexible scheduling may be available depending on site needs.
