Program/Aquatics Assistant

Program/Aquatics Assistant Warren County is seeking highly motivated and skilled candidates to fill the position of the Program/Aquatics Assistant. This full‑time position assists with the planning and implementation of various leisure, recreation, and aquatic programs; coordinating facility use; preparing and maintaining files and records and preparing reports. Responsibilities Other duties include planning, supervising, scheduling programs and events, assisting with planning and supervising aquatic programs, assisting with development and implementation of various leisure and aquatic programs, developing, implementing, planning and scheduling various leisure and recreational programs, maintaining the department's inventory of necessary equipment and materials, assisting with the supervision of all phases of the program operations, assisting with the monitoring of water chemistry efficiently, assisting with the supervision of staff monitoring swimmers, supervising opening, cleaning and closing the pool and its facilities, overseeing daily opening and closing operations and pool rental sessions, supervising concessions operations, performing specialized work pertaining to concessions operations and maintenance, teaching certified courses to staff and the public, preparing and editing social media pages, designing, implementing and managing the operation and preventative maintenance plan for locker rooms, water treatment control systems, filtration systems, associated pool equipment and concessions equipment, and meeting with community groups. Qualifications General knowledge of the principles and practices of professional recreation work; general knowledge of one or more phases of community activities; general knowledge of the equipment, facilities, operations and techniques used in comprehensive community swimming pool; thorough knowledge of aquatic safety principles and use of safety/rescue equipment; general knowledge of the objectives and principles of concession operations and food service practices. Any combination of high school education and experience equivalent to graduation from an accredited college or university with major coursework in recreation or a related field is preferred but not required. Minimum of at least two years in staff supervision. Compensation The starting salary is $40,968.20, depending on qualifications and experience, with an excellent benefit package.
